[Letter to Council and Spellguard]

Dear Councilors and Spellguard,

I was just recently in the Canal Ward and was pleasantly surprised to see that light emitting banners had recently been placed throughout the ward.

After walking around the entire ward, however, I have come to think that perhaps the red glow might not be the best of colours for these pseudo light fixtures. Compared to the colour of natural light, the red is dim in comparison, placing a strain on the eyes.

Furthermore, I worry that the red light would give many people the wrong impression. The Canal Ward is thriving place where people can go to settle and live in peace. If people were to think the red light in the Canal Ward is indicative of a "red light district" that are more often found in the seedier, sleazy portions of large cities, implying a den of prostitution which is simply inappropriate for a city such as ours than I worry just how successful the Canal Ward will be as a settlement.

I would suggest that the red glowing banners be replaced with a light of a more natural colour. Of course, imbuing such things with light enchantments can be a taxing and costly task, so perhaps this is a suggestion to keep in mind next time the banners need to be replaced and the light enchantments refreshed.

On another note, I have found the red, circular designs painted on the ground in various parts of the Canal Ward to be very beautiful and delightful.

Thank you for your time. I hope you take my words into consideration.

Best regards and a beautiful day to you, Senestia Avarscanti
