Prince,
I have made a venture into the caves beneath the crypts of the Hoaran Shrine and my findings have been thus;
It is heavily cursed by all manners of Undead. I have found a strange pillar radiating the negative energies and believe it may be a focal point for the source of the Undead. It is only speculation, I would not suggest it be destroyed by mundane means.
The zombies most commonly found are of a nature that can adapt to most means of attacking them. The only source of damage will be found by utilising positive energy or the divine. Such as those found in healing, some priestly spells, and even fewer weapons.
There have been sightings of Undead warriors who wield great swords and utilise magic like a mage might. They're quite deadly, but enough men facing one will be able to destroy it quickly as they attack with little care to their own defenses.
Large monstrosities of Bone were also found. Large constructs that would strike a man as being a form of undeath but are in actuality not. They cannot be harmed with mundane weapons so easily and many were taken down through the use of magic.
The caves stretched far and even under water. This is where our venture met it's hurdle. We were unable to procede much further as there were no spots to breathe. The zombies were still numerous, some of those being the manner found in Dunwarren. Undead Deep Gnomes.
I do not think it will be impossible to resume our efforts with a better prepared party and the neccesary supplies to swim further. I have heard of plants that allow a man to do this and intend to seek them out.
I trust you have found all of this in some interest and encourage any questions if you have any.
Live Well
Keeper Arnen
