What follows is a brief description and background to (hopefully) My new goblin characture, Srox Spiderkin: Shaman of the Eight Eyes.
P.S: my first piece of "fluff" written, so critism welcome :)
~ Description ~ Before you stands a frail and hunched over goblin, Its gangly frame reminds you of the plague victims you saw upon the surface of the world, when the sun still kissed your skin.
As it runs from ally to ally, its head spins back and fourth, watching the ally it came from, watching the rooftops, as if followed by an unknown predator...Or protector.
~ History ~ Born a runt, Srox was given up to the tribe shaman, to undergo the ritual of his tribe. He was left deep within the dark, deep within the spider caverns, a location were his kind dared not to walk for either fear or awe.
They saw this great spiders like Gods and protectors. The spiders did not care for such things as lowly as goblins, such small and gangaly creatures offered them no nutrition so they saw them as little more as fear instilled servants who occasionly brought them a brave adventurer to feast upon, and to feed their young.
Srox's test was to be left alone in the caverns for three days, if hunger or the spiders did not take his worthless life, then the shaman would return and bring him back into the tribe, and to be brought up as an acolyte, a servant of the Spiders.
Many years later Srox grew in power, although his frame did not grow much, he became shaman of his tribe, due to an unforunate accident with the previous shaman, some fresh adventurer meat and a hungry tunnel spider.
Srox was enjoying his life of shaman, untill an incident involing the tribes chief's pet dwarf, a few festing boils and Srox. He was banished from the tribe.
But Srox ws not happy, he was the shaman of the Eight Eye's. The same night he spoke to the spiders of the dark, told them of the goblins plan to put fire to their webbed domains. The spiders clearly (but not to worried) enraged by such stupidty of the goblins decsended down into the camp....When Srox returned, he found merely the dry husks of the goblins who banished him.
When Srox returned to the spiders, he was gifted with a gift, a gift the spiders said would aid him in returning more "loyal" subjects to the tribe of the Eight Eye's.
So with this Srox set out....and every so often he wouldstop...Turn his head...smile and continue his way
