That sounds very fine. I have been meaning to discuss something very important with you but haven't quite had the time to come down to visit. I have only one thing I must ask, as this will have to be an official diplomatic visit; let the table be set for two, or three if your brother can join us. Guards at the doors, table servants and the like are fine, of course. I'll likely be bringing a small honor guard, as this will be the the first official meeting between our states. I am, of course, disregarding Councilor Crowshire's previous and uncalled for entry into your domain. I'm dreadfully sorry, I don't believe he realized how rude it is to just march into territory that doesn't belong to you.

All of that sounds very acceptable to me. I will have a very fine banquet prepared for you. I hope you've a taste for exotic foods. I'm something of a hunter, and enjoy eating rare dishes from the exotic meats of the beasts I've personally slain.

To begin with -

Sauteed illithid tentacle possesses a certain succulent flavor unmatched even by the squid of the surface oceans. This will be our appetizer.

A light salad prepared with some of the more exotic fungi found in our caves.

Dragon's blood stew, with perfectly roasted chunks of dragon meat.

Malar-beast steaks, served very rare - I find the meat often carries the flavor of all the creatures that the beast has eaten.

Jellied beholder eyeball, for a desert.

Please inform me if these delicacies will be to your taste, otherwise I'll see about changing the menu.
