Anyone know of a java applet based IRC client?

I'm trying to figure out a way to get into IRC at work, we block the standard IRC chat through our network but I know there are AOL IM applet based sites that I believe work.

Anyone get into IRC through a pretty restrictive firewall?

Have you tried accessing the darkmyst webchat at all?

If that still doesn't work, you could try something like LogMeIn which once installed gives you secure access to your home PC from any web browser. I've used LogMeIn successfully for over a year now to access IRC from work (when I have the time to :P ).

I haven't tried either of those. I'll give them a try. Thanks.

Don't violate the policies set by your employer to talk to some strangers online while you should be working. I don't want anyone to be fired from their job because of EfU.

Ha, ExileStrife, I suppose you're right.... But it feels soooo good to violate IT security policies....
