A missive, left for the council.

Councillors of the City,

I write to you as a healer, midwife and Lady of the Merciful Life, Stout in service of Sharindlar of the Mordinsamman. I feel it my place to put forward the idea of a Hospice within the Sanctuary City Limits.

I am aware of the Beacon in the Lower Ward, and appreciate all they do for the poor, sick and needy in the harshest of environs, however, I am distressed as to the health needs of the people of Upper, and of New Dunwarren, and indeed, those who may need treatment beyond the skill of the people in the Beacon. I am experienced in Medicine, tending the sick, delivering new life, and a variety of other Health services, and have been in service to my Patron since I was a girl, which has been nigh on two centuries now.

It is one of my principle teachings to seek out, and help all who need mercy from their ailments, and as such, I would seek to begin my healer's work as soon as possible. I see the Canal Ward as the best place to do so, as it is within close reach of Both Upper, New Dunwarren, and to those who seek the aid of it's services from Lower, and is in close range of my Kinsmen, the Mithrilsoul Dwarves, to offer their prayers to the Lady of Life.

The Hospice would also be used, in part, as a place to Store and record the births of any who come into this World, and a place to give close medical attention to the women of all races, who find themselves the carriers of life. This service is in need, as more and more people find themselves within the City Gates. I would appreciate if a place within the Canal Ward was offered, and am willing to do anything it takes to find myself able to begin the Services of Healing and Mercy.

I look forward to hearing from you, as soon as can be practical.

May the Shining Dancer Watch over you, Thalornor Erhild, Formerly of the Barmalk Clan, daul of Dain.

Miss Thalornor Erhild,

On behalf of the Council I would like to thank you for your continued support of our citizens and their health. Any health services to be rendered to the citizens would be most appreciated, although I fear that the Council cannot be so liberal about our free lending of property to citizens. That being said, I do have multiple alternatives for you to pursue.

First, the dwarves have Dunendar Hall already that should serve as a fine location for a small clinic; speak witht the dwarves and see if they can provide some space. Second, you could do the conventional method of moving to the sick, injured, birthing, and dying instead of having them come to you. Lastly, the Council is much more willing to give when a long-term working relationship has been established. Should you gather a collection of mid-wives and medical practitioners about you, we would be more than happy to find accomodations for an active group of individuals that could properly maintain a structure and see to its continued use and development.

I hope this has been helpful. Feel free to seek me out to discuss this further.

Councilor Illario Dentra
