I read your notes about interviewing survivors of the battle below. The Council is seeking to learn about what transpired. You are without a doubt the most neutral of reporting parties I've found. Thus, on behalf of the Council, I would like to have a copy of your interviews or just a summarization of the events that transpired leading to, during, and after the Dwarven and Montezzi Court clash.

I can tell you much of what I already know, which may be the most any know aside from the Montezzi's themselves.

I appeared at the Prince's court to offer my services as Keeper of the Dead for Lower. After being accepted I left and shortly after I saw his entire court and soldiers, some dozen or more men, pour out prepared for battle.

There was a few minutes of waiting before Private Danger, several citizens and many Mithrilsoul dwarves met them infront of the fortress and crone. There I watched a battle unfold and spoke the Rites of the Deas as they fell. A few were slain during the course, but Montezzi prevailed with no losses on their side and dragged some half dozen dwarves into the fortress.

I was denied entrance to be with the prisoners as they were executed, but I was tasked with bringing their bodies to be cared for. Seven were slain in, total, all Mithrilsoul dwarves.

I also witnessed their belongings being distributed to the Montezzi men.

It is my understanding this originated with Prince Montezzi demanding the now deceased Elder, Faenor Breena Watchever, to come before him and beg forgiveness for a crime I do not know, or did not actually exist, according to sources.

The Faenor refused and Montezzi's men grew more hostile towards the Dwarves, myself witnessing several Montezzi men idling in Lower looking for "Blue cloaked" dwarves to slay. Before War was even "declared". A fe days passed and the Faenor and Dornal Avhost, the past Caretaker of the Mausoleum were reportedly murdered by Ghyrrt and a Tiefling woman. Their bodies either dumped into soup and stew, or held until their Master, Prince Montezzi, could decide what is to be done with them.

The Mithrilsouls responded with blades and initiated the attack, Montezzi had warning beforehand by an unknown source. Montezzi took the prisoners and demanded they swear to surrender and "Bend the knee", which all whom were slain refused. To my knowledge there is one who survived and swore this. I am currently seeking her, but I am having some difficulty.

I doubt I will learn much more from this Dwarf than I've already found myself, though I intend to Speak the deaths of this battle simply for the sake of the populace.
