More Montezzi crimes!

Another notice, apparently hastily written in an angry, bold hand, appears in the Town Hall, on it's doors, and all over Upper and the Canal ward:

Citizens of Upper!

This day, another vile Montezzi crime has been committed! Without prior warning or provocation, the Montezzi assaulted and slew at least three individuals in a chaotic struggle.

All the slain were citizens of Upper, devoted to a good cause and upholding law and order within our city.

- The first was Dornal Avhost, who was heavily involved with the caretaking of the town's mausoleum. He was a good man and a brave soul who sought to give to the community.

- Darragh Farwalker, was the second. Albeit not as vocal a defender of Sanctuary, this dwarven warrior had performed exceptionally on several missions in the underdark against many a vile beast.

- Faenor Breena Watchever, priestess of Berronar, is the last - but certainly not least - person on the list of those slain by Montezzi's thugs this dark. Breena Watchever was the caretaker of the Sanctuary Shelter; she was a good dwarven woman who helped the weak and the poor of both upper and Lower and offered a place of shelter to all those who would seek refuge from the chaos down below. Threatened and intimidated by Montezzi's thugs to pledge allegiance and beg for his forgiveness, or die, she paid the ultimate price of the Watch's, the Spellguard's, and ultimately the Council's cowardly inaction.

Citizens, demand action! Demand these vile, and by our own law criminal acts denounced! Law-abiding upperfolk are dying by the bushel along with the poor and destitute of Lower to this vile blackguard prince's reign!

Act, before it is too late!

They were warned repeatedly, and they payed the price for their inability to steer away from their foolish path.

Citizens of Upper!

This day, the Unsigner conveniently forgot to mention that these four mentioned 'Upper' citizens sought to kill Citizens of Upper currently residing in Lower. They sought to kill all those who offered Lower a chance to unfold into a better place. He too, conveniently, forgot to mention that Prince Montezzi offered them free passing were they to cease their attempts to cause disharmony and disorder in Lower's ward.

Lower. A place about to pop from its cocoon. Don't act too soon.

Another angry reply:

Citizens of Upper!

These two moronic Montezzi must likely belong to the human fraction of said prince's retinue, since they are actually able to spell the Common tongue!

The prince Montezzi's "warnings" have, as far as I am aware, been submitted only to Clan Mithrilsoul - and consisted in a demand that their Faenor apologize for healing the wounded of Lower, lest her entire clan be wiped out. This demand was followed by an assassination attempt at a merchant who had never even partook in any action against the Montezzi - nor had any other Mithrilsoul, to my knowledge, ever partaken in any hostile actions against said prince before his cowardly minions struck against those same dwarves.

Dornal Avhost committed no crimes against Montezzi at all!

The "better place" they speak of must surely be a pit of hellish fire, as those who wish for Lower to be a "better place" are all agents of the blackguard Prince, rotten bastards who kill innocents on sight for the merest slight against their so-called honor. The "free passing" consisted in a demand that they, and the Watch, allow Montezzi to continue to act freely in Lower and Upper, without any inhibitions! For standing up for Upper and for all of Sanctuary, they paid a dire price!

They promise many things, these Montezzi, yet bring naught but death and destruction to your doorsteps.

All free men should feel terror in their hearts at the very thought of this "better place" starting to be a real place and not only a figment of Montezzi delusions. I, for one, will never trust the word of one of these cowards, who hide behind weight of numbers, beaurocracy and hollow words.

The men who serve Montezzi are folk of Lower who have turned on their own people for the sake of survival, coin and power. They have slain Lower's only Justice, the Hoarans, and butchered Lower's hope, the Ascensionists.

Montezzi kicked a chicken and ate a dog! Demand justice!
