If that doesn't work, try lowering some of the video settings. When I first installed the game on my new video card I was having the exact same problem. Only they were black patches.

I still have problems with a certain spider model who's legs don't show up...

I believe for me it was either "Number of Dynamic Lights", "Shadow Casting Lights", or "Environment Mapping on Creatures"
