Upon entering the area, it is clear that a great many mushrooms have been chopped down and burned. The smell of smoke lingers in the air and each step in the sandy earth turns up more of the charred remains. They were clearly spread with care and seem to have been meant to fertilize the ground. At the same time, it seems that even more rothe have begun to appear in the cavern and are quite content with what mushrooms are still available for food.

As time passes, the smell of burning dung is replaced by the more fragrant scents of various underdark flora. Lovely blue mushrooms and majestic Zurkhwood trees are now clustered throughout the cave. The once small, desiccated herd of Rothe are now growing in both health and number as they eat a steady diet of mushrooms. The sandy earth seems to grow more fertile with each passing day and it becomes clear to any who witness the scene that much care has gone into restoring a balance to the area.
