A letter to Luther Hornraven

Ser Luther Hornraven,

As the chosen leader of the unorganised mob, it has come to you to decide upon and lead the attack against the Montezzi tyrants. The first thing you should do is draft up a list of your strongest warriors, and assign each a battlefield rank, so if you fall, the battle does not with you. Use this time you have now to plan and ponder your stratagem wisely. Do the unexpected, and catch the devils off-guard. Once the brothers have fallen, you must quickly remove and collect both their heads so there is no chance they will be returned. Only they need to fall, once they are dead, the rest will tear apart.

Secondly, I must urge you not to engage the Montezzi in single combat, the Prince has shown his prowess when he soundly defeated Martel Rorst, and they will surely cheat you if you even have a remote chance of victory. You must approach the battle intelligently, with the victory, and not your honour taking precedence. Remember that if you die, much of the hope and trust in Sanctuary's hearts, that has been invested in you, will follow your soul into death.

Thirdly, do not fall for their traps again. I hold the belief that the death of the human woman to the flames was in part for your sake, to draw you out. Each time this affects you, it encourages them to use similar techniques, which will mean more unnecessary deaths.

Finally, I have informed the people of the Sewers of what has transpired this day. Only time will tell how they will react.

~Mourn

We're of the same thoughts, though even if they do draw me into a trap, I'll not let the innocent fall if anything can be done.

Ser Luther Hornraven,

I have several enquiries and a request to make of you.

Firstly, do you know the name of the man who spoke poems at the Montezzi funeral?

Secondly, can you describe for me in as much detail as possible, the creature the Montezzi fed blood to, and the manner in which they did it? Was there a ritual? How did they address the beast, reverently, or as if they controlled it? I have some passing knowledge of demonology that may lead to me identifying the exact nature and name of the aforementioned creature.

Thirdly, is there yet a time to our plan to strike? How are the fat, drunken, hairy dwarves prepared to deal with the Montezzi, especially with the loss of this Watchever?

Lastly, the request. If you are satisfied with my dedication to the removal of the tyrannical Montezzi, I would ask that you send a recommendation to the Seekers for me, speaking of my efforts and intentions.

~Mourn

The Agent who spoke poetry at the funeral was Jacob Noble. The mirror was brought down with no ritual, and seemed entirely sentient. It was fed a goblin and commanded Montezzi that it wished more. I believe it said it wished holy blood of some sort. After that a cut was opened on my arm and some of my blood was drained into the mirror. Whom do I give the letter of your reccomendation to? I will write it within a few darks time.

Ser Luther Hornraven,

Addressing the letter to "The Seekers" is acceptable. Seeker Airandir visits the Last Stand Inn, and should take any mail left for the organisation.
