Chapter One: Entering the world of Humans

In Miktek's search for the most curious of curious creatures, Miktek found humans. On surface, Humans spread like insects. In caves, Humans act more curious. Staying in their herdland for protection, Humans rarely venture outward into the Wilds surrounding, where Miktek roams and observes.

Humans are -MOST- Curious.

They speak curious. They act curious. They look curious. They do curious things. They eat curious things. They smell curious. They wear curious clothes. They are curious.

In Miktek's search for why humans are so Curious, Miktek has found many notes. From how humans eat, to what humans believe, to their mating rituals, to their most curious desire to upset the balance.

Miktek's notes are following, as well as Miktek's findings on humans.

Miktek hopes you are as curious as Miktek, in finding out about Humans and their curious ways.

Chapter Two: Anatomy of a Human

Miktek has encountered many humans. Some big. Some small. Some fat. Some thin. Some ugly. Some curiously attractive, despite being human. Miktek has worked with humans. Miktek has killed humans. Miktek has tasted humans. Miktek has cut open humans. Miktek has roasted humans. Miktek has learned that much like meat, the young are the tenderest. Miktek should probably eat before he keeps writing

Miktek has learned that your average human ranges from two to two and a half goblins tall. When Miktek first encountered humans, Thought strangely they were two goblins in costume, as a prank on Miktek. In Miktek's youth, Miktek was sadly most curious, and knew little to fix such curiosity.

Contrary to Goblin legend, While Humans do slaughter much relentlessly, and at times what seem like fun, Humans are not bloodthirsty small-ogres. Average human is fairly intelligent, and is capable of making logical decisions, however in times of Crisis, Most humans resort to beast instinct of either running, or crushing.

Unlike Goblins, Humans are very animalistic. In shows of prestige and wealth, much like some surface birds, they wear plumage of either slain animals or hand-woven insect-droppings. Those in position of dominance often are bowed to by lesser humans.

Due to unsightly amounts of growth of hair, a result of dwelling on the surface, the average Human spends a good deal of time grooming. Males take blades to their chin and at times their hair, while women do not. Much like dwarves, Hairy women appear to be a sign of prestige. Hair on the head is kept, for unusual reasons, and is styled again to show prestige. Longer hair, and the upkeep, denotes a higher standing, while messier hair is seen as a sign of poverty.

The average human also wears leather "boots" and "shoes". Despite living in harsh environments, Their feet are delicate areas of weakness. Metal is at times put over boots for protection from weapons.

Humans bleed, a slightly sour blood, and rely heavily on torches to fix their ill-fit for Cave life. In miktek's findings, most humans resort to magical trinkets as well, to light areas for them to see.

Average human skin is thin, easily bruised, cut, and pierced, which explains interest in using metal to foolishly cover themselves, thinking it will protect them.

Despite their ample fur, Humans resort to animal hides and clothe cloaks to protect from areas of harsh weather or wetness, though they also seem to, like most things, have places of prestige. Miktek's final thoughts, on the Anatomy of a human, are as follows: While humans do not have the ability to strengthen their hides like Deep lizards, they are resourceful. Adaptability seems to be humans most important anatomic ability. Any situation, with given time, Miktek has learned humans will adapt and survive.

This makes them cunning beasts. However only adds to their curiousness.

Chapter Three: Human Society of Uppercave

Miktek has interacted much with Human society. While Miktek is treated as nuisance, and often ignored, this allows Miktek to learn much of human culture, practice, and activities.

What is curious, is Human hierarchy.

From miktek's learning, Humans act as they wish, mostly, with other humans imposing their will on them. Curious Oath's called "Laws" that are rigorously enforced, is staple of human environment. Some humans who seek betterment join "Watch" to keep other humans holding to these oaths, through beatings, stealing their treasured gold, or even death.

From speaking with Humans, Watch is ran by a large man named Az-am, who is stern and like a king.

King Az-am does as he wishes with his choice of mate from settlement, allowing him free reign over the most plump of mates. Many join watch in hopes of getting King position, "Sheriff", and free reign over sweet, juicy, plump mates. King Azzam has group of humans who work with him, called "Council", allowing humans to fight amongst themselves, spreading the best stories about their deeds and views, in hopes of being chosen to serve King Azzam on Council. Council makes Oaths, King Azzam keeps Oaths.

Third group, is "Spellguard". These evil shaman are devoted to killing the balance, using their "Machine" that is infested with rat-men made from Gnomes. In youth, confronted by many curiousities, Miktek thought this was Gnome prison for rat men, until Human Washugo informed him it was not. Spellguard research Gnome magic and balance-destroying creatures of metal, in hopes of using them to protect herd.

Bastard Semaj seems to be of low position, much like the old goblin with his leg removed, forced to do chores and tasks for his masters. This brings many foes, but gives much curious look into Human nature.

Human society, as Miktek has learned, is different from human anatomy.

As Miktek has told in other chapter, Humans are adaptable to challenges. But Human Society promotes keeping from challenge, and locking self in tower, or other prison, and ordering people around like King does, Council Does, and Semaj's masters do.

Humans of most Prestige seem more focused on keeping good looks, fine looking animal plumage, and other things mentioned in the past, while lesser humans are forced to work. In return for this work, "Adventuring" as the lesser humans call it, they are granted precious gold, something that is treasured by lesser humans, and laughably tossed about by Alpha Humans.

The Human Herd of the Upper cave comes into regular conflict with surrounding regions, but overall attempts to hide itself, despite again Miktek's learning of Human ability to adapt to challenges.

Its largest challenge though, seems to be the Human Herd of Lower Cave, in which is regular conflict and challenge. More research must be done before notes can be compiled.
