A missive to Martel Rorst

Mister Rorst

I imagine you will be very popular in the next coming days, to the Judge of the Damned for the few Montezzi you've slained in the name of fighting tyranny and to Rinaldo Montezzi whom no doubt will seek your death in response.

This is only a matter of faith to me when the life of one man must end for another to live freely, and it is something I can support. However, this is mostly a matter of personal character to me.

I wish to offer my help, to be present on behalf of the Lord of the Dead when more men depart this world for his judgement at the end of your blade. More importantly I wish to offer my help because this is no time for the indiscriminate tyranny and blood shed that has wracked Sanctuary.

We may speak further if you wish, leave a missive for me at the Mausoleum as I often check in there.

Signed,

Theon Arnen, Speaker for the Dead, servant of Kelemvor; Judge of the Damned

Theon Arnen,

Your offer of assistance in the struggle against the dread House Montezzi is appreciated. However, as with others who have expressed interest, I feel I must warn you poignantly that this struggle will be excessively dangerous, and not without hurts for either side.

If you understand the dire nature of the situation and still wish to pledge your assistance, I will accept it. I will not think less of you should you not.

Best regards,

Martel Rorst

Mister Rorst,

I am no stranger to death.

Theon
