Letter to Esteemed Councilor Garg-stills Goldbrick Esteemed Deputy of the People,

Firstly, allow for my introduction. I am Laheryn, elf, and I have called Sanctuary my humble home for a few years now. Despite this, only recently I have decided to come out of the woodwork; The life I led in this city I no longer wish to live. Instead, I shall devote myself to higher purposes, and hope that the Gods take pity upon my soul.

I write to you with the information that I and one Arkhaman, brewer of fine magical concoctions have decided to form and lead an Arcane Merchant's Guild. We wish the approval and perchance support of the esteemed Council in order to carry out this vision. What precisely our Guild's project entails, I would leave to discuss with you. I chose you over the other Councilors as you seem to be the one most concerned with matters mercantile and financial, and thus your advice and input would be most appreciated.

I humbly request a meeting with you, in order to discuss this idea and hear your thoughts on it. As your love for fine eating and drinking is well-known in the city, I cordially invite you to join me over a lovely dinner at the Lavenza Grotto, finest eatery of the city.

I eagerly await your reply, and leave you with the assurance that this meeting shall be the beginning of a mutually productive relationship.

Letter to the Venerable Spellguard, Elite Order of Mages Venerable men and women of the Spellguard,

She who writes you is Laheryn, elf and dweller of Sanctuary for the past five years. The life I have lived for this half-decade is now behind me; The time is ripe for new and exciting endeavors, profitable and productive.

I write to humbly request a meeting with one of your representatives, to discuss the formation of an Arcane Trading Guild. In no way do those who join me in this endeavor wish to impinge upon your rightful domain over magic use in Old Sanctuary, and as such we would like to sit down and discuss what must be done in order to acquire your approval for such an idea, and perchance even your support.

I'll speak with you. Come to the Tower and ring the bell. Have your proposal ready to present. There are certain things I may be able to convince my superiors in the Order to permit, but on other matters you must yield to the judgment of the Spellguard Order, for the sake of the city's continued preservation.
