To the Keeper;
I have heard disturbing rumours of the restless dead in this wayward town and have seen many first-hand, but the last place I would expect is the hallowed halls of the Mausoleum, and it brings me curiosity.
Do you have any inclination as to what could possibly be causing this?
I am intent on solving this mystery first and putting these dead to rest as soon as is able. In order to do so I will need must know the history of this resting place and how long it has been haunted, along with past owners and questionable acts involving them and this Mausoleum.
I have some ideas as to what might solve the immediate problem, but it would be useful to know the exact nature.
My motives are not alterior, I do not want a reward of any sort. All clergy of the True Lord of the Dead are bound to duties like these.
Please write me back so we may work together on this.

Speaker for the Dead Theon Arnen,
I'm unaware of when the undead started to plague the Mausoleum, but I'd assume that they have been there as long as we have been interring our dead within, due to the apparent nature of the problem. I'm sure the Office of the Herald could provide you with an accurate date if records from the first years have been properly made.
As to the nature of the problem, it appears to be linked to resentment at being interred so far from the surface, a theory supported by a bloody message in the crypts that frequently resurfaces. It could be that this message is being made by a necromancer attempting to conceal his work, but I doubt it.
As for any ideas that you have to solve the problem, I would be very interested in hearing it. Gravekeeper Tomborn, one of my staff, presented several that appear to hold promise, but she is currently occupied with researching their potential.

Caretaker,
I will work with the office of the scribe for an exact date and speak with you on possible avenues to take.
I must question your choice in this Myrkulite, however. They are rarely ever altruistic in their efforts and have a habit of romancing undeath very keenly. I would hate to see their kind gain a hold in Sanctuary, let alone where we store all our deceased so they might be studied or manipulated, or at worst, animated.
It is your choice however, I will continue to work and hope you keep my warning in mind.
Live Well
