... and since I like this character a lot, I would like to creat a new one who looks as much as possible as him, maybe his brother. Could a dm tell me what exactly are the limitations on that? I know I can't use the knowledge Hugdish had, but what else?
Oh, and btw, I just want to say I had so much fun playing with almost everyone Hugdish has met... especially the goblins. It was hilarious.

Aw. Too bad about Hug, he was a great character. Still, I may of gutted the Goblin Razzle if he didn't show up.
Either way, I think you have free rein since Hug was your character, and thus you can do his relitives, the main problem being well, you can't have the two at the same time. But nothing is stopping you.
But let's wait for DM confirmation.

I'd suggest that you move on to a new, different concept rather than playing a carbon-copy of the one just past. But you're free to make relatives for your own PCs, just be mindful of things like believability.

What exactly do you mean?

I strongly recommend you move on and try out a new character.

It would be better if you tried a new character, for sure. I often find jumping from one personality to a completely new one is always refreshing! Whatever you like to do, though.

Well, don't make the character an exact copy with a different name. If that PC dies, then don't then go and make another based on the same, and so on and so forth. Stretching the bounds of believability and likelihood by having this family of like-minded characters finding their way to this small site in the Underdark unlucky one by unlucky one.
As Caddies pointed out, it's often much more enjoyable to jump to a concept that's totally at odds with what you were previously playing, or get in one something fun with another player.

Well lol, I wasn't going to do *that*, I know it's ridiculous.
I'm sending a pm to Howland about what I intend to do, as it may contain foig / spoilers.

Sorry Hugdish died. He was great to RP with. Looking forward to your next build.
