races of faerun has the official info in it, it also has artic dwarves.
Thard Harr is the patron, they generally live in the jungles of chult compltely oblivious to technology of any sort, their favoured class is barbarian.
I found this info, not sure if it's right since it's for a particular module :
Wild Dwarf Racial Traits: +2 Constitution, -4 Charisma, +2 Strength Medium Size Base Land Speed 20ft Darkvision 60’ +4 against Bull Rush and Tripping +2 bonus vs. poisons +2 against spells and spell like effects on Saving Throws +4 dodge bonus vs. Giants +2 Wilderness Survival checks +2 to Move Silently when in the wilderness +1 to Listen and Spot when in the wilderness Auto Languages: Dwarven and Common Bonus Languages: Crystallis, Elven, Giant, Gnome, Goblin, Orc, Terran, and Undercommon Favored Class: Barbarian
So if you were implementing them you'd probably give them trackless step as a bonus feat, +4 to discipline, and +2 str, -2 charisma on top of what normal shield dwarves get with the ECL increase of whatever is appropriate for the +2 str. They also fight the dinosaur like beasts of chult and the lizardfolk there so they are trained in fighting them rather than orcs/goblins that they have little or no contact with. (not sure if you can actually UNDO the bonus shield dwarves have, without making a special feat that has -X to orc/goblins etc)
As always though you'd need to run any special races past the d.m's and explain how you're benefiting the community by playing one. Wild dwarves are limited to one zone in faerun only so they're exceptionally rare. Same would go with Artic dwarves which would be as rare and they have an even higher bonus to strength (+4) (though they are smaller stature like a halfling) Real pint sized titans.
Heres some older (though out of date too since it's 2nd edition) info on wild dwarves I found with google
http://www.aquela.com/roleplaying/features/halfpints.html
You'd really need the races of faerun book to see what's what.
Thanks that exactly what i needed.
I am 90% sure that neither wild dwarves or arctic dwarves are implemented in our race system.
Don't be so sure!
Just keep in mind that Artic Dwarves are ECL races. Freaking powerhouses!
Dwarves are the powergamer's wet dream come true already. Why add even more powerful ones? :?
These dwarves are indeed built into our subrace system, but a very, very strong application would be required to play them.
A Wild Dwarf in the clan... That could be fun. :o
yeah I'm pretty sure I met some kind of other dwarf subrace (in npc form)not listed (don't think they were artic but they were blue!)
Naga yeah I'm pretty sure I met some kind of other dwarf subrace (in npc form)not listed (don't think they were artic but they were blue!)Smurfs!
AFAIK there are only 2 smurfs with beard, thus they cannot be Dwarves. Rather, all but the 2 with beard must be female Gnomes.

Derro, maybe?
Derro is a race?! I thought it was the dwarf we were afters name even now :/
Anyone have the ECL/Stats for Derro/Arctic Dwarves?
Per PnP?
Derro aren't presently in our subrace system. They're just NPCs.
Yes, PnP
*Whishes he had the sourcebook as a .PDF*
Right, give me a moment.
Arctic Dwarf
- +4 Strength, -2 Dexterity, +2 Constitution. -2 Charisma.
- Small
- Immunity to cold.
- Favored Class: Ranger.
- LA: +2
- ECL: N/A
Derro
- Small.
- Madness, SR 15, vulnerability to sunlight.
- Favored Class: Sorcerer.
- LA: +1 (+2 if sane).
- ECL: 4
Sorry for the delay, but I was only able to find Derro in one FR book (out of CS, Player's Guide, Races, Monsters, Underdark) - Underdark - where they're only just mentioned. The rest was gathered from MM1 where, funnily enough, there is no Arctic Dwarf. At least that one's described in the FR Races book.
Derro are supposed to be even meaner than Duergar, by the way, and hate just about every single other race in Faerûn. Besides that they apply their Char mod to Will saves instead of Wisdom so they probably have some Wis/Char stat mods.
Don't wild dwarves basically act like animals? I think if one showed up in Sanctuary they'd probably just panic, find a good hole and hide in it.
Lots of holes in Sanctuary, no worries. :)
