-=*Introduction*=-

Sune, the most beautiful and fairest of the gods, is naturally the goddess of beauty. However, Sune is even more wonderous for her domain over love which she shares and shows to all who would accept and spread love themselves. A truly kind entity, Sune also holds the portfolio of passion for it leads to acts of greatness and energy.

-=*Beauty Within People*=-

Beauty is not merely the pleasing appearance of one's outer shell, but rather also a reflection of the goodness within one's soul. Beauty springs from goodness within for goodness will naturally make beautiful whatever it touches. Generally, beauty reflects one soul, baring it for all the world to see. One, however, should keep in mind that the forces of evil can be deceptive and thus should always seek to ensure that the outer beauty felt by our physical senses are accompanied by inner benevolence. Thus, true beauty is both correlation and causation of outer and inner pleasantness, goodness, and graciousness.

-=*Love One Another*=-

Sune teaches us that true love will always prevail and win over all adversity. As with goodness, love comes within and to bring it forth to spread among others is a truly great and kind act. Love is the greatest emotion and experience known to all people, and thus Sune blesses those who would seek and share love with others. For when love is found among people, friends, family, and within romance, one finds peace and happiness.

-=*Let Passion Fill and Move Us*=-

Both beauty and love would be for naught without passion. Passion is what causes and drives mankind to seek and do beautiful and loving things. Without passion there is no ambition or want, beauty and love would be never be known or felt and the world would be a lesser place for it. Sune smiles upon passion when it acts as the fuel that moves us towards good and worthy goals.

-=*The Calling of Sune's Sweet Voice*=-

Sune calls upon us to seek and protect all of the above within her domain. We will be lead to our true destination by love and so we should perform a loving act whenever possible so that love is awaken in those around us. When love is directed towards us, we should always respond so that it may grow and become stronger. Beauty in art symbolizes the goodness of the world, and so should be encouraged and protected. Our own bodies, however, are temples within themselves and in reverence to Sune we should strive to keep them as beautiful and comely as our souls. Worry not about being shy or bashful for Sune has blessed us with beauty of body, hair, and clothing to delight others, stirring passion, love, and desire. Of those who respond to your acts and appearance, always seek to generate with them whatever positive relationship possible.

-=*Living Sune's Will Among Others*=-

Sune's love of goodness is shared by many other worthy deities with whom she works beside. She shares with the Morninglord, Lathander, love of life for naturally love is impossible without the other. She admires the Moonmaiden, Selune, for allowing beauty to exist within darkness and night because of the light of the moon and stars. Sune also delights in the works and arts of Milil the Lord of Song and his followers. There are other deities who aid and serve in Sune's cause. Sharess serves Sune because in the most intimate of relationships, passion, pleasure, and love are inseparable. Lliira, the Mistress of Revels, also ensures that the joy and happiness of love is celebrated whenever possible. In regards to the above deities, Sune would encourage us to work with their followers to ensure that goodness, happiness, and love may be spread throughout the world.

Sune would also encourage us to work with the deities of love and beauty presiding over the other races such as Hanali Celanil of the Seldarine. Though Sune and Hanali Celanil of the Seldarine have rivaled over the beauty of elves and humans, it is a friendly one as both can appreciate the beauty of each other's respective races. Working with the other races and exploring their ideas of love and beauty is also encouraged by Sune as better understanding and expanding upon one's notions of love and beauty is admirable.

At the same time, however, Sune would also charge us with the task and challenge of working against deities and their followers that would cause the destruction and marring of things beautiful and lovely. The destructive workings of the Deities of Fury--Talos, Auril, Malar, and Umberlee--though natural and inevitable, should be opposed, delayed, and minimized. Talona, Lady of Poison and Mistress of Disease would mare the beauty of people and thus Sune would see us fight against pestilence and plague. Deities such as Shar and Garagos should obviously be opposed for their destructive nature. Sune realizes that Tempus wages war honourably, a marked improvement over the other deities who actively seek destruction, but she would still see that we work to temper his followers so that they turn to violence only when absolutely necessary.

-=*In the Darkness*=-

Sune's love and beauty is a shining light which the city of Sanctuary can greatly benefit from. In the darkness of the Underdark, Sune's light can provide us with comfort. With her light as a guide, we can find love among each other and thus happiness for all who would seek it. Thus, I call upon you, dear reader, to consider the teachings of Sune. Not only will she ensure joy in your life, but in those all around you. The world can always be improved, and following Sune's light will do just that.
