Although we all make typographical errors, with present discussions, I'm seeing a lot of just plain misuse.
It's canon, not cannon (unless you're a priest of Gond).

Do you apply such fastidiousness to the recreation of the Dwarven accent?
When expounding on the grammatical, typographical, or more ephemeral properties of asynchronous interplayer discourse, I sometimes wax a bit hypercritical. Forgive me my trespasses; as the day draws to a close and I reflect upon the melancholy existence of educators such as myself taxed with the burden of a generation of eager minds whose conceptualization of prosaic response extends little beyond the preponderance of acronyms and abbreviations found in digital text transmission devices, I endeavor to offset the negative effects upon my psyche through occasional escapes into the realm of the over-read, over-educated, and under-sexed fellows with whom I find comfort and solace on EFU. Thus, it pains me deeply to see my comrades in arms struggle to use a word whose meaning is clear, yet whose spelling is, alas, apparently not.
As for whether my attention to the detail of my fellow players and their lingusitic accuracy in the phonetic transcription of the dwarven tongue is as great, I must answer it is not. I know that as a language of rune in its written form, and not a true phonetic alphabet (despite what might be found in some canon sources), and thus closer to modern Chinese or other iconographic language systems, one cannot expect to see true and accurate representation of the nuance when translated into the common tongue.
Until such time as the great linguistic anthropologists and sage wizards lords Noam of Chomsky and Warde of Goodenough conduct a proper study on the dwarven tongue and finalize an alphabetic interpretation of its nuances, tones, and phonemic distinctions, I shall have to suffer my fellows and their creative, if muddled, transcriptions in Scottish accents and alternate spellings.
