Councilor Dederich and Goldbrick

seperate letters arrive at the Town Hall

Councilor,

[Frank only] We congratulate you on your victory. As the margin of your success was quite close, the benefit of an alliance with our Clan seems obvious to you in helping you gain your seat.

If there is anything further we can do for you, please let us know. We have found you to be a man of action with honor.

[Goldbrick only] You may wonder why we did not publicly support you in your bid for Council. It is not intended as a lack of respect. However, you did not respond to our requests to the candidates for their positions on things of great import to us. Also, you have made no attempt to contact us in other fashion, and you have not answered a letter I sent to you offering you spiritual guidance.

[Both] We would like to know the current status of duergar in our city. Are they allowed citizenship currently? If so, are there any known duergar citizens at this time? What if they reside in Lower, and own a stone? Does Sanctuary Law protect them even there?

And if a duergar is not a citizen, might we lawfully defend our neighbors from the threat they pose in the Canal Ward?

We appreciate these answers greatly.

Good health to you,

Sister Breena Watchever Keeper of the Truesilver Elder of Clan Mithrilsoul

Faenor,

It is indeed obvious that your support was key to my election. You have utmost gratitude.

As for duergar, they are neither a "welcomed race" able to legally obtain a citizen stone, nor are they an "enemy race" which you can kill on site (goblins, kobolds, and drow at them moment). They can, however, be escorted from the city by a city official.

As far as Lower, I don't think the Watch or anyone else would care if you killed a gray in Lower.

Once the Canal ward is open for trade, I will work on getting duergar re-added to the Enemy Races list. Though I doubt it will pass with the current Council.

Tempus ride with your clan.

-Councilor Frank Dederich

Goldbrick uses the letter to wipe his rear after a lengthy amount of time spent on his golden chamberpot.

Thank you for your letter. I may be in need of spiritual guidance in the future, but for now, I'm very busy trying to work out a budget with my peers that we can all agree on. If you have any areas you'd like to see improved specifically, feel free to let us know.
