[An envelope is left at the Spellguard Tower for Agent Xavier Elapidae. The contents are a simple document, bound together with an ordinary rothe-leather strap. The document is roughly 27 pages in length and written in a neat and tidy hand. There is a letter and section of cliff notes included.]
The Letter:
Esteemed Agent Elapidae of the Order,I realize that this is not as prompt as you would have preferred, but as you read my research you shall understand the delay.
Please accept my most humble apologies for any inconvenience this has caused you. I look forward to speaking to you in person.
Azuth be with you, Agnes Valenti
The Cliff Notes:
THE STUDY OF FRACTAL LIGHTBY: AGNES VALENTI
Section One, "An Introduction to Fractal Light and its Limitations": In my first section I introduce the concept of fractal light, or more commonly known as "invisibility". In short it is a simple parlor trick with a number of critical limitations. The primary limitation deals with certain interactions with outside fields - it causes the fractal light spell to shatter as if it were a burst bubble. This limitation has resulted in my delay in getting this report to you. I am certain that there is a method to overcome this obstacle and I have been researching it furiously.
Another large limitation deals with the way it is implemented. The simple fact is, although most call the spell invisibility, it is little more than a trick of the eye. As I explain in this section the spell works by "breaking and bending" the light in such a way as to make it seem as if you are not there. You are still there. You can be heard. The outside world can interact with you.

Section Two, "Fractal Light in Detail": In my second section I compare this spell with the cantrip of light. On the surface, they may seem completely different, but in truth they are strikingly similar. While the light cantrip evokes light into existence, the spell of invisibility takes those same threads of light and bend them in such a way that, to an observer, seem transparent.
Essentially, light is bent so that - from all possible angles - the individual or object is always reflecting what is behind it.

Section Three, "Fractal Light and the Weave": Here is the bulk of the report. In the third section I go into a great amount of detail dealing with flows, threads, and bindings. I have located three versions of the spell of invisibility and have submitted them here as well as my own.
In the three versions most claimed to have some expert understanding of illusions. While they may have a decent understanding of illusions they lack fundamental understanding of the Weave. Based on my fundamental understanding I point out improvements to their spells which are submitted here in this document.
In my version, I have greatly reduced the number of threads to a total of 56, reduced binding time to roughly 20 minutes, and because of the strength of the threads it should flow easier as well.

Section Four, "Fractal Light and Future Prospects": In my final section I once again emphasize the limitations of the spell, and outline several theories of potentially improving it. I am certain beyond a reasonable doubt that I can create a superior version that does not have negative reactions with certain fields. For example, certain weave flows in spells such as those in frost ray cause the spell to simply 'shatter'.
I have isolated the threads causing this weakness, and have outlined them here in this section. The next step is finding threads that replace these but also do not cause negative reactions with the other threads.
