Since the occasion is good - in this thread we fawn about how this is the best dungeon ever made and the coolest thing there is, as well as us fondly remembering promising PCs we lost to it - and how we don't regret it.
No screenshots or spoilers though, just praise! I can't believe nobody made a thread for this yet.

An amazing dungeon, I had so much fun in it. ^_^ Thank you Song of Orpheus!

Wow, Thomas. I think it's claimed a vast number of PCs; did I piss on your bonfire? Oops!
In all seriousness, it's a great quest I love SoO and I want his shaggy beard pressed against me through the cold, dark nights.

I'd like to thank the academy.
Also, I want to encourage the playerbase as a whole to put together a party of talented, careful, and thorough adventurers to actually beat this thing. It is definitely beatable! And the rewards for winning are truly amazing.
And, if some group beats it, I'll start working on a BRAND NEW ONE.

Maybe I'll train on a mountaintop for the next twenty years before I make my next character. That should prepare me, right?

I ain't sending a character in there unless I got a death wish for the character. But I like the idea of a dungeon, good concept.

I've had the rare privilege of going in there twice, and since that negates my chances of going again, I can only second what Orpheus said - beat it!
There's -nothing- wrong with having "strong" characters, be it from their build or equipment, if that is backed up by RP. Take The Scholar! What an amazingly powerful character, but one I do not feel envy for - I know he earned every little bit of it. Gather a party, ICly! Become powerful adventurers! And then, one day, dare this!
Even if you fail, I can 100% guarantee you'll not feel bad. The fun you'll have until you die is difficult to put into words. In fact I'd say dying on this was my most favourite death - it's so worth it for the thrill, the rush leading up to it.
Don't be afraid of losing your level 9 wtf-pwn Duergar of death! You'll have fun doing it; you get to play a new, even more amazing character if you die, and best of all, if you win (winning already defined as simply surviving), you can safely say you're among the very very best players.
Go forth and die succeed in this amazing dungeon!

Seriously, my next character is going to attempt this, provided he doesn't die to something else early in his career.

First of all...
Maybe I'll train on a mountaintop for the next twenty years before I make my next character. That should prepare me, right?
Won't work unless Liam Neeson trains you and uses a psychotropic drug in a massive test resulting in the destruction of his "Abbey" and a massive and engaging story results. Sorry.
Also, what are we talking about? This sounds like a wonderful way to end a couple characters that now bore me. Hmm...

It isn't. Its epic adventure, and the victor is a legend.
Death is just a side effect.
Glory to the victor, as well as riches and prestige.

A definite classic.
I encourage everyone to give it a try.
And no, you don't have to be 9th level to beat it. Though you might want to bring a few of them with you to hide behind.

I've had the luck to try this dungeon and I have to say it is simply amazing!
Some of the unexpected events that happen there is IMMENSE!
I also have the knowledge that some DM's have tried the dungeon and failed, one even failing at the first challenge.
So if you beat this dungeon, you can wear the mantle of knowledge that you are superior than the DM's (Except SoO obviously)

As far as gaming goes, this is top notch stuff. I will join in the congratulations for SOO's dungeon, this is quality stuff. : )

Halfbrood's master tactician of Red Knight has defeated it, if you count defeating it surviving it. He also did it with grace and got the rest of his party killed. Well, me at least >_>

I had a char that survived an Undermountain prelude on a Saturday only to die to this dungeon on Sunday. The most epic 2 days on EfU EVER!
