Spellguard Accountability
Torn down.
*ten more notices are put up in its place*
For every notice you tear down I'll put up a hundred to replace them. You can not silence me.
The loss of life in the Canal Ward is devastating. My heart goes out to all of the families and friends who are still suffering from what can only be called a complete tragedy. If there is anything I can do to help you, in this time of sorrow, seek me out, I am eager to do what I can. Eager, as those brave men and women who rushed to the defense of the city must have been, before the Spellguard murdered them.
They must be held accountable for their actions in the Canal Ward. The spirits of those brave souls demand it. They were willing to give there lives in fight and were never given the chance. Electrocuted by the Spellguard before they could raise a blade. The Spellguard will argue it was for the greater good, but did they sacrifice anything personal at all? Who are they to throw away another's life and call it less valuable then their own? They snuffed out the lives of citizens they were supposed to be protecting.
Tonight, while the families of the fallen gather in mourning, above the Spellguard will declare victory. It makes me sick to even think about it. All those involved in the decision making to activate the orbs will be held accountable. As councilor, I hope to personally reside over their trials and deal out the justice that they have earned. Upholding the law does not make one immune to it. Justice will prevail.
//lets stop playing this game please, I will keep putting them up
As always, Rumors spread harsh misconception.
Spreading wanton lies that the Spellguard some how murdered citizens is atrocious. If we wanted citizens dead, the gate wouldn't have been activated. Lives were saved.
A public sending was made to warn citizens to avoid the gates at all cost, and a lockdown was issued.
It is admirable that people sought to defend the gates. However it is unadmirable that they disregarded warnings for their own personal safety, in an attempt to offer aid that clearly was not needed.
Any concerns over this issue can be forwarded to Agent Elapidae. Any citizens are free to seek me at Serena Tower, and the event can be discussed in depth.
Whatever excuses you may put forth, your actions lead to the deaths of good men and women. For this alone, there must be a trail. Your attempts to bury this tragedy only further point to your guilt. If you truly believe you were in the right, then stand trial for it. Hope, however, you find a more lenient judge then I would be.
How many more would've died, if not for this defensive move? It turned and slaughtered the Unseelie! Just because some people did not heed the clear warnings, doesn't make the Spellguard responsible.
This man is merely attempting to turn tragedy into more votes for himself. Don't listen to his blame placing, from a man who was not even aiding in the defense. Especially not one who admits his own biases, against the very people he places the blame on.
-Highly Concerned Citizen
Citizen Faraday,
Freedom is not something we all can enjoy. Some of us have dedicated our lives to upholding the freedom to stand about and plaster campaign flyers all over.
It is a thankless job, but one that the dedicated to this city do none the less. Everyone from the privates of the watch, to the Commander of the Spellguard, serve this city first and foremost.
We have given our lives to keep this city safe from Drow, Formian, Chosen, And all threats that face our very existence. I appreciate the slap in the face. As does the rest of the collective men and women who put their blood, sweat, and tears into this city to keep it safe.
Kindly stop spreading pointless, unfounded, blatantly wrong propaganda.
When you do more than run your mouth, abusing the freedoms that we die for with rumor-based accusations that hold absolutely no merit, your concern will be taken more seriously. It is hard to hold a legitimate conversation over paper. As I said, seek me in person if you have issue. Otherwise, end this charade of an inquisition.
