Esteemed Sherriff,
My first question is, was Bhast entirely altruistic or avaricious? I do not wish to skew the truth, and while I am certain he is neither entirely, it would be good to know if he was a man who cared for the city deeply or a pragmatist.
My second question is, was his good name ever at question? Did you ever see anything queer or out of his normal self around him?
And my third is, what was his political stance on the Chosen?
And my final question is, where was his place of residence and who occupies it now?
Many thanks,
Uldur Riftshield.

Azzam sends off a curt reply on official Sheriff stationery.
Esteemed Sherriff, My first question is, was Bhast entirely altruistic or avaricious? I do not wish to skew the truth, and while I am certain he is neither entirely, it would be good to know if he was a man who cared for the city deeply or a pragmatist.
You say he was neither entirely, I say he was both. He was avaricious in business, which at times crossed over into the political realm. He drove a hard bargain, as they say. However, he clearly did everything he could to promote the stability and security of Sanctuary, it was his home and he never expressed any desire to leave it. As for the second part, I don't see why a pragmatic, practical man can not love his city. He was and he did.
My second question is, was his good name ever at question? Did you ever see anything queer or out of his normal self around him?
His good name often came into question, as it does for any of such stature. I, personally, never witnessed anything outright strange about him.
And my third is, what was his political stance on the Chosen?
Mayor Bhast did not have any specific policy towards them, that I was privy to. His political stance tended to manifest itself in very strong support for the Spellguard and Watch, whom he trusted to handle problems such as the Chosen in an effective manner.
