<< PLEASE READ - IMPORTANT!! >>

I would like to introduce everyone to my new baby boy, Ethan David! He was born at 1:10 AM on March 31st, after 20 hours of mind bogglingly painful drug free labor. He was 7lbs 2oz, and about 2 weeks early. There were zero complications, thankfully. I brought him home from the hospital just three hours ago!

Interesting facts to note!

He's blonde. If you knew me, you'd know that's pretty f'ing odd. Suffice to say that neither of us are.

He's blue eyed, which isn't out of the ordinary for babies. But they are getting more pronouncedly blue by the hour.

In fact, it's fair to say that he looks absolutely nothing like either of his parents, except his little button nose and his whiny disposition! But he's sure cute, right!?

He does not sound like a human being at all, he sounds like a combination of a chittering chipmunk and some sort of tongueless alien.

This is him sleeping! I know! Super interesting! (look at those chubby cheeks)

This, regrettably, is his normal disposition. Don't let his compact build fool you, the sheer volume of his voice is frightening.

This is him decked out for the drive home. You can't see, but he has flourescent green mittens with "BLING" emblazoned on them, one in gold and one in glitter. Just look at his face and you'll know that he's well aware that he's pimpin' big.

=====

These are just out of the couple that we snapped while we were waiting for the doc before we took him home. There's going to be more pictures, but my mother and my doula (aka hippy sidekick) conspired to steal every camera in the room and have them developed before I had a chance to sort and censor them. Don't worry, you won't have to see these banned photos, they are likely all both obscene and terrible.

Another baby! Congrats!

Congratulations Meow Mix, what are you calling the wee one?

Blonde Hair and Blue Eyed, hey? Only the milkman knows for sure, I say.

Congrats Dude!

Congrats, bro.

Absolutely fantastic. Congratulations are definitely in order!

As a father of three young'ns myself, I can speak from experience - you'll never take an unbroken night of sleep for granted again.

So....much....noise

Hold an 8oz cup of coffee by him and keep him yelling for 15 years, 62 days, 25 minutes, and 6 seconds, you'll have a free hot coffee btw.

WTB.

Awesome.

Cute!

I guess all those cute chix was just your way of saving the testosterone for your son. Congratulations-he's got a great dad, and I'm sure you'll find fatherhood to be even more challenging than icing Kiaring characters with slay living. Best of luck and warm wishes to you, the lady, and young Ethan David!

Careful, there are orcs on this server that would eat him. Have your bastard sword handy.

In all seriousness, that is flippin' adorable. I would say I want one, but I'm not really old enough, or well-paid enough for that sort of thing. Still cute. Don't spoil him!

The title of this topic is vastly misleading.

:| :(

Happy birthday, I guess.

Congrats

Is it too late to change the name?

best April fool's prank ever.

Mylin gave birth. :D

Wait Meow Mix isn't a Chix?

Meow-Mix,

The baby is not yours. Tough luck.

I'm really sorry I never called. :(

Grats to you & your dude. I know you had it in you! (Pun, pun!)

&baby ducks &&&

Congratulations!

Congratulations on the new bundle of joy! :D

EyeOfTheStorm Congratulations on the new bundle of joy! :D

Or bundle of wailing dispair :(

I went to a day-care once, I had to bring ear plugs the next day.

Awww!

So adorable!

LOL

Congrats,

I often remind myself that having a child is both the best and the worst thing that can happen to you.

Your sleep schedule goes to hell. Your social life dwindles to near nil. Moms that smoke and drink....shouldn't - while pregnant or breastfeeding.

Only a very lucky few men find a woman that still wants to get frisky just a few weeks after she's had a canteloupe size object...well, you know where I'm going.

Apparently gaining wait, losing sleep, worrying about baby health and phucked up hormones don't get most chix fired up.

BUT

When you get up at 3:14 am, knowing you have to get up at 5 am, desperate for that kid to get back to sleep, remember this:

At that exact moment when you pacing around the living room, trying to sooth that little rascal - you are the most important thing in the world to another human being.

...

It doesn't get any better than that. And until you experience it yourself, you would never believe it.

My first son was born 9 years ago to this day.
