Wow, this is kinda neat and kinda strange. I've never done a LARP before, but if efu is hosting such an awesome event, then I've got to give it a try. It might be hard to get tickets for those dates, and it won't be cheap...but why not--its a once in a lifetime chance I've got to imagine.

Does anyone know of any resources online or otherwise to learn more about LARPing?

Also I guess some costume design pointers would be useful? Is it possible to make realistic full plate from scratch in a few months? So many questions, so little time.

I especially encourage newer players to get in on this since it will be an awesome chance to meet the DMs and to get in the loop.

I'll also be standing by with quick reference sheets and a complete compendium of all our written rules (although the latter will not be available to players; way too much paper).

And you know, this might actually be feasibly pulled off-- get a ride to Portland, take a bus to Boston, change buses and go to New York. And since you can normally find airports in short distance from a bus station catching an EFU bus shouldn't be too hard.
