Kanen,
I speak to you freely, from one follower who has learned and thrived in the faith to one who now seeks to begin a path of his own.
As I spoke before, our efforts in this township must be guarded until we have the guidance and aid of a clergyman. Acquiring such a person is currently one of the main goals of myself and the other faithful scattered about this forsaken town.
I leave to you the first three things which the master-of-arms at our father's keep taught me,
I - Know that in strength lies the key to success. Understand that you give away the shield-hand to wield a weapon with both arms, so that the blows may land harshly and brutally, and understand that this does not mean a blind charge into combat, but measured, precise steps.
II - Always maintain a sure footing. Never allow yourself to be knocked down. Never allow your weapon to be lost from your grip. Never fall pray to the empty taunts of another; They merely mask their fear - they do not know Bane as we do.
III - Fight only to kill. If you do not mean to kill, use other means to achieve what you seek.
I hope this finds you in good spirits, and serves a decent enough milestone for your path. As I said, I am no clergywoman, but I shall try to guide you to the best of my capacity.
Strength begets unity, Unity begets strength,
- Iphraem
