The transition back up the steps in Facility 4X of the gnomish temple follow up quest seemed quite uninterested in letting my character retreat.

It's the staircase that comes down into the large open area.

Other party members said the same thing had happened to them before on that very transition.

Was there lag at all, when doing this quest? Sometimes transitions can throw a hissy fit when the lag monster is in town.
