My name is Frances Allegretti. I am a Priestess of Lurue and your opposition for this current Council election. I have no taste for opposition, however, and so I would prefer to be your associate.

I write you this letter with the sole intent of getting to know you better. Having seen your postings, I believe the better part of your opinions hold merit. The oppourtunity to discuss these opinions and plans with you, either in person or, if you don't have the time, by correspondence, would be something for which I would be very much appreciative.

A little bit about myself: As I wrote, I am a Priestess of Lurue, the surface patron of wise beasts and adventurers. I am strongly and personally supportive of the Watch and Spellguard, but equally supportive of regulation on their activities. I support total separation of Upper Sanctuary from Lower and further exploration and mapping of our local regions of the Underdark. In regards to trade and business I have lofty hopes for aiding them but little practical experience in their operation. I worked previously on the School of War staff as an instructor, and before that in Vile Industries as a brewer of potions.

Please drop off a reply at (The Crone / The Stand) if you have any desire to speak with me, either privately or in public debate. I believe quite strongly that if we start working together now, we can accomplish much more during the Council term proper.

My name is Illario Dentra, a recently freed captive of the drow. I am a soldier at heart, and a politician second. I at first very seriously considered the Watch, but later joined the Spellguard as a matter of style-preference. My most notable accomplishments include assisting in the capture of the devious Captain Thorn and combatting the raging druid known as Moss, which led to his retreat. To be frank, Lower is an enigma to me and I maintain an open mind about Sanctuary's affairs with the sector. I am very much interested in establishing a strong defense against the hordes of foes that await so little as our stepping in one wrong direction to enslave us or worse. This includes taking a proactive step at defense including a militant scouting division to fulfill the role the Seekers once played and the preparation of a military unit to deal with any issues abroad.

While I disagree with some of your sentiments, especially in regards to your defense of the bloated watch and spellguard budget, you strike me as a person of good moral fiber, who is trying to improve upon the world for its own benefit and not your own. That's why I would like you to sign onto my Humanoid rights proposals now and agree to pass them into law within your first term, should you be granted with one. Together we can forever protect the god given rights of every man, woman and child in our fair Sanctuary.

Humanoid Rights: Opinion - You can not be prosecuted for what you believe, you can only be prosecuted for actual crimes. You can not be arrested for stating your beliefs. What you believe can not influence the ruling of a judge. A ruling can only be based on evidence.

Privacy - You can not be searched without probable cause. You have the right to refuse entrance onto your property. Your home is considered Sanctuary. If faced with interrogation from the law, be it in the courtroom or jail cell, you are free to choose silence over any explanation. A judge may not rule based on his opinion of your silence. A ruling can only be based on evidence.

Information - You have the right to see what your government is doing. You can request information from any government organization and, if it exists, they must reveal it to you. Exceptions are only made for ongoing investigations. Cases deemed ongoing for over one year forfeit exception and must be revealed. It is, in fact, your government. You own it and you do have a right to know.
