3rd ed books describe stone giants as having "smooth gray flesh so that they can blend in with their mountainous surroundings." Simple suggestion to give stone giants a stoneskin appearance to reflect this and help differentiate them from hill giants... should they happen to ever be in the same place at once...

I've got a gut feeling that if you give them a stoneskin appearance, it will just make that little floaty rock thing appear around them. I don't know what causes that...maybe it's just something in the spell script that causes a different visual effect to be applied to some things and not others.

That floaty rock thing is such a buzzkill. It made me think something awesome was happening when I was a noob though and had no idea WTF it was.

The 'rock' Is applied to large creature models, most of them, anyways. Its sort of a default thing. sometimes it will work normally, but when you reload the models, by going through a transit or so, Boom, floaty rock on that person' screen.
