The Phase Spider Ability on Wild Shape druid (for level 8 ones) doesn't work. You can't even plane shift!

Planar jumping while not too hard to add -Can add serious balance issues. IE jumping across locked doors etc to get to places you should NOT be.

It's the only reason why you'd turn into this shape. I mean, sword spider is far better!

I'm surprised to find out we have a phase spider form. I'll probably suggest that be removed. <.<

And as to why you can't jump, that's handled strictly through AI scripts. There is no special ability that lets you jump like the phase spider.

It's not that it can't be scripted, but I'm pretty sure the DMs would want to limit the ability to teleport to application-only, if anyone.

Brought this bug up somewhere half a year ago. DMs replied that it 'should work when nearby hostile monsters', which it didn't back then.

Pretty sure this isn't a bug, due to balance issues!
