Do you all think it makes sense that a Kossuthian druid summon something a bit more, well, fire like with their summon creature spells? I know for a Kossuthian cleric, any summoning spells brings a fire elemental of varying size depending on the spell.
I know Druids get their power from nature but summoning a dire rat or boar just doesn't mesh with the whole Kossuthian thing....
I guess my suggestion here is to have Druids that select Kossuth as their deity would summon either a fire elemental, or a fire salamander, something like that.
Thanks,

No!
Druids are -not- clerics.
End of Story.

Yes?
Fire salamanders are animals too. Nothing wrong with fire elementals (at relevent levels) either.

I understand Druids aren't clerics. Wow, didn't know i'd get such a strong reaction. My question is though, why have a deity if they don't influence your spell casting at all? Just makes sense to me.

A Druid can summon forth elementals from other planes the same way any other spell caster can. I'm not sure why a Druid of Kossuth isn't automatically linked to the summoning of Fire Elementals instead of normal animals being they share the same concept. I'm not sure how the DruidDeity vs. Druid relationship works when it comes to that, though. Might be best if you take the question up to the DM boards, they most likely have a more sound explanation.

Thomas is nuts.
Druids of Kossuth would summon fire creatures, he's the elemental lord of fire. There is even a feat in PnP to let druids of Kossuth summon more powerful fire creatures.

Besides, druids get to summon elementals and shapeshift into elementals at higher levels.
