Sinalee's guide to Sanctuary (and surroundings!)

A loose collection of rolled parchments, neatly packed into a roll of insulated, carefully stitched rothe leathers. All of them have been drawn rather crudely with coal, annotations on the back with ink.

Welcome to Sanctuary, safest place around, and a great place for the adventurous types, that my guide is aiming at! If you are not, however, you will still be sure to find a nice place to stay with the help of these maps. The upper part is relatively safe, should you still run into problems with shady folks, be sure to let the local Watch know (1). The best way not to get mugged though, is, not lugging all this gold around. Drop off excess coins at the bank (2). Of course you can also spend it on drinks. I found the Rock Bottom Tavern is just the place (3)! Now, still have something left? An interesting book maybe, or more of my maps? All (hopefully!) available at the local bookstore (4), be sure to visit it at least once, or you will be none the wiser! A sad place is the Mausoleum (5), I found most people there to be real oddballs.. but, if you don't mind the stench.. go for it. Also, friends you thought dead often mysteriously ascend from there. Make yourself heard at the townhall (6), but watch out, they always have problems with small winged rodents. All you magicky types will like the Spellguards' place (7), also you are required to register there for some reason.. There's some of us who remember the surface and yearn to get back to it, then you will find like-minded people at the Seeker's organisation. They offer pretty good drinks too (8 ). Watch or set up interesting duels at the Arena (9), buy supplies for most of your needs at the bazaar (10).. or get in some fancy outfit, at the local tailor's shop (11).

Be wary those who travel in lower. A light step is always useful, as this is the home of the less fortunate, less satiated inhabitants. Best to head straight for the Pissing Crone (A), renowned for it's beverages.. and bar fights. Thus it is not for those faint at heart. The Tiger Eye Mercenary corporation is ensuring order down here, should you wish to know more, here is the place (B). Now, in one way or another you could have contracted nasty disease, or just feeling under the weather? Good priests are often available at the House of Light (C) to tend to you. I heard money can be made by catching rats, which you can find down the sewers, use the public entrance at the Pump Station (D), but be wary, those buggers can reach the size of an attack dog and become even as vicious! Some useful goods fashioned from rat hides are sold at the shop of Speckard near the stairs (E). Live rats can be used in fights at the Gambling Hall (G). I personally am fond of sweets, so if you are with me there, ask Meram about her selection (F). The place is kind of crammed so I marked a couple of useful short cuts for those who are quick on their feet. Enjoy your stay, and keep an eye out for more maps by Sinalee Hillsend.
