A call is being put out to any able-minded wizards, sorcerers, druids, clerics, or songweavers with a special affinity for using Magic as their source of strength in Combat, as well as a way to move about the Underdark unimpeded.
This ( Friday ) at ( 8pm GMT, noon GMT -8 ) there will be a public lesson on the techniques mentioned above hosted at the School of War. The curriculum is open to alteration based on who volunteers their time and skills, and, time permitting, demonstrations may be given.
Healing, both magical and mundane, will be provided by on-site instructors, and private citizens willing to aid in healing will be compensated for supplies used.
Those providing unique and enlightened instruction during the lessons will be paid for their time, and those showing exemplary talent may earn a recommendation to join the School of War as Arena Staff.

Directly following these lessons this ( Monday ) at (8pm GMT, noon GMT -8 ) there will be a contest of magical might, open to all registered Spellcasters. The Westerling Memorial Mage and Cleric's Duel will be open to spectators for free for 20 coin each, and to participants for 100 coin each.
Any and all forms of magic legal within Sanctuary will be allowed, but a stipulation of at least 5 spells cast or 1 minute passed must be observed before any melee or archery combat is allowed (excluding summons).
Spectators are warned that some spells may affect crowds, but all participants able to use such spells must give fair warning when they enter the competition.
The winner of the Westerling Memorial Mage and Cleric's Duel will earn a coin reward, and all healing will be provided through magical or mundane means between bouts.

Chartered by the Council of Sanctuary, the School of War is a non-funded, privately-managed organization dedicated to encouraging the prosperity of Sanctuary through education in the arts of war and self-defense. The School of War is grateful for any donations our adventuring or domestic citizens are willing to offer. Those willing to offer aid or to act as Instructors are asked to leave a letter at the School of War itself, or for Professor Allegretti at the Beacon if Lower is a more comfortable venue.
Please also send your support to our neighbours at the Sanctuary Shelter, now being put into working order by local Faenor Breena Watchever. A place of charity and respite, the Shelter will be our own Beacon of Upper to show that our citizens truly do care for the less fortunate.
Thank you, and may the gods bless and keep you.
~Frances Allegretti, Priestess of Lurue, Professor at the School of War
