Honoured Councillors,

For some time I have lobbied for the provision of benches in the public areas around the Town Hall. Too many of our citizens, awaiting an engagement such as a music recital or a shopping trip, are forced to squat like the Beggars of Lower upon the (increasingly) filthy ground.

I have spoken directly with Councillor Deepingdale who seems to support me, but suggests funds are being diverted to pressing security matters. I agree! We live in dangerous times! For this reason I am prepared for the House of Fireheart to sponsor a bench if your honours would permit such a permanent erection.

Councillor Crowshire likewise is aware of my concerns.
