I've noticed that Animal Guts and Sinews tend to largely be ignored when people are sifting through loot. I know there may be an IG use or two for these already, but could we add a cooking option for them? Toss 2-5 pieces into a pot, stir a bit, viola! Unless they already can be cooked, in which case, that's what I get for going straight to the Suggestion Forum. 8)
Mild Stew/Chunky Slop/Mystery Sausage
A bit of this, a dash of that. Oddly enough, the source of the meat can't be distinguished in either the smell or the taste.
Edit: Alright, scrapped the healing idea, though functioning like medical herbs would be interesting.

I don't like the idea of food restoring hp.
Just my opnion but cook them could be an option for RP.

Guts and sinew aren't really a good thing to try to eat...
And I really doubt it would be a healthy thing for your body...
So I'm against this, even though it's a mostly harmless suggestion.
And food shouldn't heal Hp.

Beef Jerky. Nuff said.
In favor, though perhaps an effect less drastic that a cure moderate wounds stew.

Haggis anyone..... Good scottish grub. Well goods a matter of opinion i guess but it might as well be made of guts with a few extra bits and pieces.
I'm not againts it restoring HP persay but it might be better if it where say just 1 HP you got back. A good meal does wonders for a person and this might represent that a bit. Mind you give it to the folks in lower and thay might explode. .... Let them eat cake i say.

It'd be healthier than starving to death in Lower.
Besides, what, never eaten Sausage before? >_>

Healing no, but perhaps +1 against fear? I mean, on a full belly, nothing seems so intimidateing, and you are mostly calm?

I'm mainly looking here to make a useful, and possibly easy-to-access use for these plentiful, mundane items. I'd ask what other functions they 'do' serve IG, in case they already have 5+ uses or anything, but you're not really supposed to do that here. 8)

Perhaps a temporary +2 to disease saves? Boosted immune system and all that.

I'd probably say a negative thing.
-1 con/will/something else.
Seriously... sinews? That'll taste like shit.

There is a cooking system in place in game.
I'd be very surprised if these two weren't a part of that system, or one of the others like it.
Also, just for the record - sinews and guts are not the kind of stuff you want to eat, unless you're starving. Sausage, beef jerky, those things are made primarily of muscle, though there is some fat in there as well. It's the muscle you eat. Even among tribal peoples, who are usually adept at stripping an animal of anything that can be used when they hunt, these two things have uses other than food.
