Posted on the Door of the Stand

*A cowled woman in reddish robes is seen stabbing this notice to the door of the stand with a curved dagger*

Citizens of Sanctuary, I bid you welcome. My name is Mara Kevessa, and I have come to free you from the tyranny of your gods. I bring the power to break the chains with which your silver-tongued priests shackle you. They say that the gods are benevolent and benificent. I say they enslave you, they bind you to their will, because they are weak. They need your worship and service, or else they are nothing. I call upon you to join me in throwing off the oppressors that your priests call gods! Serve the Dragon Queen, and you will find freedom and power beyond your wildest imaginings. If you wish to join my noble crusade, leave a missive on the door of the Stand or the Crone. I will see it.

Mara Kevessa, Priestess of Tiamat

A notice is nailed up beside the poster by a man clad in silver platemail and a rather dashing eyepatch;

I am a Justicar of the Even Handed; a priest of Tyr, and resident of New Dunwarren. I say these things so that you may know your foe, and so that you have the chance to repent to deities worthy of your adulation before your demise.

I am Dornal Avhost, and I challenge you to prove the veracity of your claims. Lies shall not go unchallenged, attempts to spread anarchy and blasphemy shall not go unpunished, and attempts to create a "crusade" against pious defenders of Sanctuary will not go unchastised.

Seek me out, for be sure that I am seeking you. If you do not wish to ambush me like a coward in the alleys of Lower Sanctuary, then we can settle this in the manner of civilized folk, in the Arena.

Until then, heretic. I can only pray that your soul is not denied Tyr's guidance when you fall, as your foul mistress is unlikely to care about it overmuch.

Esteemed Priestess,

Of all things great and small is none more powerful than faith. Faith of any kind, in your friends, yourself, or your god, is the key to a strong and capable hand in any endeavour.

What you're doing is a direct attack on the faiths of any and all who reside here in Sanctuary with even a modicum of piety to their spirit. I hope you realize that as you put up your posters around the city and try to garner support from the wrong types of people with the wrong methods.

I myself am a Priestess of the Unicorn Queen, and although I think what you are preaching is wrong I am willing to grant you some guidance; for, as you may or may not know, there have been innumerable stories of dark priests organizing great and powerful revolts against the status quo to no greater effect than mass murder and terror. I wish to know that even in your attempts to turn all away from the gods and goddesses to whom I pay homage that you will not take up blades against the peaceful folk who believe strongly in your disfavour.

With this in mind I will advise you to hold a public sermon to speak peacefully on your topics and do your best to avoid direct insults to others. Preach a message of peaceful revolt against whatever it is you're against, and I think that we all will benefit.

This advice is free and in good spirit, Dear Priestess, but if you bring violence and terror to this city which has suffered so much already then you'll quickly find your ass replaced with a spear.

Eternal love and blessings of Lurue, ~Frances Allegretti

*another message is tacked to the door with a throwing dagger*

Madame Allegretti, I thank you for your courtesy. Even without meeting you, I give you the respect that the Tyrran will never have. I am willing to accept that many in the city are simply misled, and not actively seeking to control the minds of others. They will come to no harm, I assure you. Please, do not misunderstand my words. Nowhere in my missive did I threaten anyone. Perhaps when I speak of rebellion, it is of the mind? Perhaps when I speak of breaking chains, they are mental, and not physical? Surely one of your experience and intelligence can see that.

On the other hand, if men like the Justicar insist on violence and combat, as men often do, there will be blood.

I thank you for your suggestions, priestess, and bid you a good day.

[A spellguard agent is seen, informing the patrolling corpral to arrest the next person he sees covering the Last Stand door with flyers and nonsensical posts]

A beautiful woman in red robes is seen taking down the letters, apologizing to the corporal, and moving the letters to a large, mossy rock nearby
