Lore and Ranger Favored Enemy

When considering the source of the Favored Enemy feat and it's bonus', I began to wonder if this would be a special kind of lore. As in Knowledge (hunting) or whatever the PnP equivalent is.

While Tumble offers a +1 to AC for ever 5 points, perhaps the Lore skill (which was the dumbed down NWN version of the various knowledge skills) might have an impact in some way on Favored Enemy for rangers and harpers.

I'm not entirely certain WHAT impact it would have, but if a ranger had a very high lore skill 11+, or took the SF: Lore feat, I would imagine that would make him that much more skilled as a hunter....perhaps separating good hunters, from great hunters.

maybe a +1 to damage for favored enemy? or maybe +2 to spot/listen? or +3 to search for traps laid by such a creature (thinking the ettercap quest here)?

Feedback?

Lore figures into the tracking skill for rangers (which has a bonus versus favoured enemy).

That sounds fair enough to me.
