Your efforts to keep us informed and abreast of such things are appreciated, Councillor Cheval. Allowing such an over-sight is simply unacceptable from the standpoint of Sanctuary's Security. You would do well to remind your colleagues and fellow Councillors that it is not simply the matter of a paltry handful of Mage Eaters being summoned, but the location of our Sanctuary being divulged through the rampant and unwarded castings of poorly trained individuals.
I hope that we may turn this around together.
- Duke Barkley Senior Officer of The Spellguard
Councillor Cheval,
That is ridiculous. Do they realise how dangerous this is? Do we not brief the Council sufficiently on the risks of unwarded spellcasting? I cite the example of a Tigereye casting a Hold spell upon a Spellguard Operative, while unwarded. Minutes later, a drow patrol arrived at the gates.
Perhaps I should write to these Councillors.
Thank you for keeping us informed. Perhaps we will turn this around.
-- AGENT MILLER Order of the Spellguard
This news is incredibly troubling.
The Watch Wizard program itself should be disbanded for pointless frivolity. That is a matter for another time, however.
Thank you for the information, once again, Councilor

Venerable Spellguard Order,
Ironically Crowshire and Fireheart are your best hope. Deepingdale is the Watch's creature, and Aeran is well, Aeran. Play on Crowshire's insecurity, lust for power, and his fear of the growing power of the Watch politically. Fireheart might be bought, or he may not. I have not tested the limits of his personality. Councillor Jacelyn Cheval
I believe I've managed to delay the voting process for a few days. Councillor Jacelyn Cheval
Thomas_Not_very_wise Personally, I don't see a problem regarding this. The Watch has hired priests who used the spells from the gods to capture criminals, the Watch has a wizard(s) who would do the same. The spellguard merely wish to control all the law enforcing casters in Sanctuary, and many wizards don't wish to join the spellguard could join the watch. The point is- The spellguard have revoked casting rights to a certain watch wizard and is keeping her from doing her duty. This is ridiculous when our own law enforcement agencies are bickering over domain and jurisdiction.
The law would be as stated-
"If any casters of Arcane or Divine Magic exist within the watch, they are granted full rights of casting in unwarded areas as long it is in the pursuit of criminals."
The problem with magic eaters can easily be solved by making sure each caster has a large supply of Abjurer's nightshade.

This seems to be the general arguement, along with the claims no one was harmed during the period of disunity we recently suffered when the Watch Wizard was "necessary". Councillor Jacelyn Cheval
Venerable Spellguard Order,
Councillor Everas Aeran just voted no on granting the Watch Wizards spellcasting rights. Is there a deal between him and the Spellguard Order I am not aware of? If so, then together we will be very able to pass legislation in the Order's favour with alacrity.
The vote all depends on Crowshire now. Councillor Jacelyn Cheval
Venerable Spellguard Order,
Wyric If Spellguard does not send us a report of the incident (Donrick's death). I think they should be punished for not complying with the city, and half of the funding should be be suspended until they comply. Would my fellow councillors agree to this, or are you content with way Spellguard just ignores our requests and keeps asking gold with NOTHING to show in return, the things they promised for budget increase even, have failed to surface. The budget would be returned at once they submit detailed report, but I think it is time to show that the council isn't toothless. So if I would put this on vote, would I get get support?
Amusing, but there's a chance this could get support from others with the way the Council is. The death of the Donricks has made Sanctuary a more dangerous place.
~Jacelyn
Councilor Cheval,
Despite what I said previous in our meetings, My thanks for presenting us with this troubling letter. I've left word with the Agent in question to prepare a copy of the report he drafted for the Council, and it should be getting to you as soon as possible.
Remind Councilor Crowshire however, that we've numerous duties besides cow-towing to a group of elected citizens who got their seats pandering to the public, or in Firehearts case, simply having a councilor die. (As a side note, please do not, it is simply something that feels excellent to get off my chest. The above sentance was sarcasm, and does not include yourself)
Frankly, I do not understand who in the nine hells Crowshire thinks he is, to make such grievous demands of us, when the Watch has still
A) Yet to Capture Macasta and Plop B) Yet to prehended the traitor Darracks and those who support him C) Yet to fire the incompetent Sten for his corruption D) Yet to get a competent Watch-Wizard for their blunder of a division, which has consisted of one dead wizard, and one incompetent who has yet to rise past the private station in almost over a year now.
Perhaps he should consider cutting their funding, until the above is fixed and the watch wizard program disbanded, as to stop wasting the council's funding on numerous clearly un-involved criminal investigations that have now been left mostly in the hands of the order, and the mewling of some elf who wishes she could play Mage-Hero with warded robes since we barred her from our order.
That said, please ensure councilor Crowshire that we are not some group that simply he can snap his fingers and we come running. The report is being prepared as we speak, but we -serve this city, not him and the council-.
We have larger issues on our plate than sending a report of something he and numerous other watchmen were present for, -INCLUDING THE SHERIFF-. It is my fullest intention to see to it that he has the report by the end of the day, But with the watch fractured and broken, the Order is busier than ever in keeping the peace where "Sanctuarys Finest" fail.
