This quest does not spawn the boss with a party of 2.

Are you 100% sure it was not just invisible?

It tends to wander lately, though it likely still spawned, as I've had similar problems too.

I have done it twice, both times with invisibility purge on, and I have had to ask a DM to spawn it, even after we checked around areas we didn't go to previously.
