I dont doudt its been suggested before and shoot down for many a good reason and plot theme.... But i miss the Zombie Staircase. It was so simple yet so much fun. I mean whats not great about fighting a horde of zombies coming at you in great waves with only a handful of seige engines that no-one ever really used and some mad nut with a great sword wading into them at full tilt screaming profanity at the headless goons.
I know it was spammed a fair bit being as it was a fairly straight forward quest if you used your head but damn it was fun.
Maybe its just my inner zombie movie geek speaking but i would love to see it back.

I liked it too, it probably just needed to be changed up. Adjust the terrain, or change the zombie powers a little. It would have made it more difficult and variable periodically.

I liked the concept, but the way players were treating it made it ridiculous. I guess that's partly why it was taken out. If I get into quest making, which isn't going to happen at least for a while, I may look into making a similar quest.

There 'is' one that sounds similar, except with rats instead of zombies. It's actually rather fun, and can be rped to no end.
The zombie thing reminds me of Shaun of the Dead, so please do bring it back, if possible.

Please bring back Zombie staircase. If it gets too crazy, like you said, you can always drive a car into the staircase and light it on fire to prevent the zombies from getting up.

Yes the rat quest is fun . . . but only for lower level players. :(

Please no. It's not just that the quest got spammed, the sending system was spammed by people spamming the quest.
If it must be brought back, fill it with mummies instead, and put a bodak at the end.

DO IT DO IT DO IT DO IT DO IT DO IT DO IT!
Seriously. Bring back, Bring back, bring back, that was one of the few quests where you could see that the dunwarren was the source of the undead!

If it comes back it will come back much more difficult than it was.

Wouldn't be a problem, add some Greater Chosen Necromancers there...some flying chosen...some Undead Ravagers....maybe an undead Aleczumberzeil...wait, he's still alive, damn.

Hell i just want it back.... and a new and improved bad ass version would be even better. Maybe a minor lich as the boss or vampire necromacer so its not just ``Look the Dunwarren has spawned more undead''.... Thats what always bugged me about it and it getting spammed. If you guys are gonna bring it back (Prays in hope at the foot of guitarway to heaven) i would love to see it beefed right up. Just to make it less of a time filler quest and more of a desperate struggle to help push back a threat to the city.

Sounds like you guys should just attack the city with undead until all the PC's never want to see undead again

Bring it back, but have the boss be MONTY UBEL! It would be so hardass that people would never do it, causing it to be removed again.

I liked it because my characters could come up with wild theories about why the undead were coming out of a section of the Machine, and the resulting RP always made the quest considerably more interesting. There are only a handful of other quests (that I know of) where players can see this connection, and I wouldn't mind seeing a beefed up version of the quest for that reason alone.

Hmmm.
The first wave should be your standard svirfneblin zombies, hordes of them as before, using those negative energy ray items.
The second wave should probably be mummies, as somebody said, because mummies are tough as damn.
The third wave could be something like skeletal warlocks and archers; those guys can be really hard.
And one last wave of undead chosen with the boss, undead deep lizard.

More zombies, please.
Just put it somewhere hard to get to so people can't spam it so easily or often. Make them hike through the Machine or something.

That be so cool, but it was the whole zombie horde i really liked being as i am a fan of the traditional zombie movie. Still will always have the memories, and maybe one day the DM's will bring it back and i can enjoy the madness once again.

I would be all for a quest that simulated a zombie horror movie. This quest did, but more like Shaun of the Dead, since there wasn't any REAL threat until the end. Add some crunchy NPCs to make an aura of "OMFG WE MITE ACKTUALLY GET EATED" would be awesome.
You could just make the quest very specific levels only. 4-5 would be best in my opinion. That way it's fun, gives decent XP and loot, but doesn't pump you up into the powerful levels of 6+ and not that many folks could do it!
