We have not spoken within the past few days and I thought to update you on the events transpiring. I have been granted permission to head the beacon and its staff, I'll begin working cleaning up and organizing the place soon. I assumed you will be glad too hear of this, and would offer you an invitation to help tend those that make their way here. The lord Ilmater's teachings are always welcome.
On a more dour note, I have not seen or heard from our stout Helmite paladin for days. I've done some looking but so far I've been unable to find any trace him, I haven't resorted to letter yet however. Also, it appears the Daper Darbies somehow turned the tables on the Sugar Sweets, resulting the children's death. I wanted to know if you could show me the abandoned building in which they were held up next we meet. Also I am requesting anything odd about that situation that could've been overlooked at the time. Namely, did the Darbies appear to sane and struggling at the time or were they acting somewhat dormant. I fear they may have fallen under the sway of something, perhaps thralldom? I cannot be certain. However, Alex's friend did appear to be somewhat insane. I saved him from death on the streets of lower, and brought him to you, although you were contending with Vincent at the time.
I also haven't seen hide nor hair of him about in the past few days as well. I hope this letter finds you safely,
