Air Currents in and around Sanctuary?

One of my character's major themes is wind. So my question is: What is the air like in and around Sanctuary? I read the section that says that the Underdark has a surprising supply of good air due to portals to the plane of air, but more specifically I'd be interested in the air in and around the city.

I imagine the Canal Ward as having a slight breeze, but I'm largely clueless on the rest of the city. So maybe a DM could flesh this out a bit for me?

I know there's a lot of hot air from portals to the plane of DangerousDan, but otherwise I'm not too sure!

Anyway, yeah, a light-ish breeze seems reasonable for all of Sanctuary, keeping in mind that parts of the city are more complex than others (Canal Ward has always been a fairly open place). Since I don't know why you're asking, I can't really give a precise answer, but I'll point out that there's probably a reason the Windy Canyon has "Windy" in its name.

On a general note, while it obviously isn't a problem in Sanctuary, bad air (stale, poisonous, etc.) is a real problem in the Underdark.

So: There's enough wind to prevent the air from going stale, but not enough for people to be bothered by, or maybe even really notice, it.

While Sanctuary itself doesn't experience much wind, its safe to say that various parts of the Underdark, especially the Dark Lake and, yes, the Windy Canyon, experience considerable air currents.
