Thanks for your prompt response.

As far as taking so long to request the donation, I at first was waiting for our donation bowl to be installed. This took many weeks, unfortunately. Before it's eventual installation, I went into seclusion to meditate and commune with Tempus, or at the very least receive inspiration. I'm sure an art lover such as yourself can understand the need for proper inspiration when attempting a great work. I look forward to hearing from you.

I have been trying to find you often! I brought the donation contract over for you to sign, but some shrewish harlot attempted to throw me OUT. I was looking over the Arena for places to upgrade, and planning aloud some future events, and she told me in did not -own- the place and sicked the guardsmen on ME.

Well, now I -do- own the place, as fate would have it. Isn't that droll?

She will have to go, I suspect.

After your lack of response, I thought you lacked interest.

Keep your gold. Name a Champion for yourself. You seem to wish to turn the Arena into a place of pointless blood-shed.

I will face your Champion, no-holds-barred. Winner takes all. If I win, you will put every gold piece you have available to rebuild the Shrine. If your Champion wins, I obviously step aside. Or be dead.

It's hardly -pointless-. If you want to fight one of the champions in the future, though, that would be very dramatic and exciting.

I am my own champion in terms of whether or not you step aside, however. I'm afraid the entire world is not so simple as bashing things with swords.

I do find it amusing that you wish to show your disapproval of fights ending in death with a fight to the death, though. Also that you're refusing the gold I offered to rebuild the Shrine, in order to fight to win gold to rebuild the Shrine.

You're either very clever or very stupid, I'm not entirely sure which.
