I know we have never formally met, but your name is known me because the Mithralsoul Clan spoke it to me, and has the respect of Drin Shieldarm of Arvoreen.

I write to you, because I have the understanding that you are the one that controls the lands of the Canal Ward. If my unstanding is incorrect, I apologize.

If I am correct though, I would like your consult on how I may go about securing an establishment where I might be able to open a monastery. A place where all lawful and goodly people of the canal ward can come to meditate and practice the faiths in peace.

I have asked to stay in New Dunwarren, so I may be reached at the temple there.

Dear Good Halfing Ashallen,

I am afraid you are somewhat mistaken. I did attempt to secure the Canal Ward for all of Sanctuary, both Upper and Lower, for a common good, but Upper Sanctuary instead decided to invade it. I have nearly no influence, other than a grudging respect Lt. Lothor and I have for each other. That being said, I can grant you two options that may be helpful.

First, I can provide you a place to establish your order, but in Lower, not the Canal Ward. I have a few places in mind that have ample space for a few halflings to practice their arts, and there are options for growth. If this interests you, come speak with me and I'll show you some of the options.

Secondly, you could contact Lt. Lothor or the Council about getting started in the Canal Ward somewhere. My one hesitation with this is the fact that Lt. Lothor is, and I have never found myself to be wrong in this assumption, a complete and total jerk regardless of the situation.
