Well, after all my heat related computer problems, the computer has finally stopped charging. I have a little bit of battery left, but not much. The charger works fine, apparently, but when I connect it to the computer it beeps and flashes. I tried this with my backp charger- same effect.
Hopefully I can get this fixed tomorrow and get back into EfU. Until then, looks like I'm pretty much down and out.
Sorry gents, wish it weren't so. Be back as soon as I can.

You know, if it's a laptop, you dont -need- to have the battery in it for it to work, so long as the AC power is plugged in.

Get a real computer, my friend. I await your hopefully quick return.

So, I'm in math class. Not doing work. Rawk.
The battery works fine, my sillies. It's something between the battery and the plug-in part of the charger that's FUBAR, inside the hard casing that I can't reach.
I'm on my way to the tech guys now.

Agreed, get a non-pansy computer. You know, like one that stays in one place, and doesn't travel all over the universe. Get your porta-pc fixed and return.

Seriously, if you can't run a game from almost 7-8 YEARS ago on your pc it's time upgrade. What are you running it on a macintosh?
and if you are still using hampsters on a wheel to power your power supply, try feeding them once in a while.

Yeah, 93.... There is quite a Mac fanatical group in EfU, so we usually try to avoid Mac vs Windows debates and comments.
EDIT: (whoops, Didnt switch out of my Alt costume to post. >.<)

I hope the next time you touch your laptop it explodes and you die horribly, Garem.
Because your name is a letter away from Harem. And that's way too cool for you.

kill Kotenku for that imo
Oh, and it looks grimmer by the hour. I'm taking every step I can to get it repaired and/or replace the sorry son of a bitch. The computer, not Kotenku.

This is just an idea. Reset the motherboard, by either taking the motherboard's battery out, or finding a reset button (if it has one)

Oh! Nick, that's a good idea. That will frequently cure little ills. I don't know if this particular ill is big or little, however. Use a tiny flathead screwdriver.

In my brilliant creativity, I've had a much smarter idea.
Steal a computer from my parents!
Well, sort of. It's actually my computer that I bought a few years back, but it's fine and ought to run NWN even better than my laptop (no more overheating, no more dropping out or missing 20 second stretches of conversation having to alt tab, no more sticking my computer in the refridgerator!). And, if I am so lucky...
I'm going to be getting a NEW computer. A badass one. For cheap. So all-in-all, I'll have missed three or four days of playtime for a brand spanking new computer. Or, worst case scenario, my old one gets fixed.
So good ole American ingenuity (steal something when yours breaks?) wins the day. Either way, I'm at home for the weekend so I won't be playing.
PEACE. Be back on Monday, my sillies.
Oh, and one last thing about the laptop. The AC input (computer side, not charger side) blew out; when this happens, it is often due to motherboard problems. I will have to send the laptop in, regardless.

Ya know, maybe it was the sticking it in the fridge that busted the thing in the first place.
