spice, coins and factions

I started in RP games playing MUD, and the best system I see for factions DMs or PCs, is called a "spice" economy.

Each faction need a register and an owner, and get an account in a special bank, that convert coins to "spice", and the spice can be used to buy or create special stuff for members or faction HQ, like NPCs, controls and secrets.

As more spice a faction gets from donnations of members, more powerful can be. I think it can be a real improvement to balance the guilds in game.

Some rules between DMs can be deal to refine this system for use in EFU.

just a idea.

pointing: where in the dark, the Watch and Spellguard get too many NPCs (watchmens and animatrons) to control the Cannal ? Have a Bag of Holding somewhere ?

I doubt we're interested in players being able to "buy" DM attention from gathering lots of coins.

I think it is not about DMs atention or gifts, is about how the factions, DMs factions included, can have a rule defined, formal, unique and real way to access resources.

like: if a facction want explode a build, can buy barrels of fire with the "spices" or have a unique item with see invisibility 1/day, etc.

Sure all DM council must approve uses or ideas.

The way we operate now is much like this, without any pseudo-currency.
