I don't know if this is possible in NWN1, but in NWN2 they have a feat called Monkey Grip. It allows one to either use a shield with a two-handed weapon, or two two-handed weapons at once. It obviously has a massive strength requirement and a huge AB penalty, but it is quite cool for such combos as spear/shield, as was mentioned in an earlier suggestiong. So...
SUGGESTION: Add Monkey Grip.
No, I have no idea if this is possible, but it would be quite awesome. Thank you.

Unpossible. The only way to accomplish this in NWN1 is by creating a large sized character with a medium or small appearance type, and I'd bet my loot that the DMs are not going to do this for anyone.

It's largely unlikely that this will happen.

It's possible with overrides im pretty sure, [to allow it] ( I will look into this, for hte lols)
Though to script a feat like it - I am not sure. I think it would either be Alll or nothing, with the current NWN system as it is.
Edit; And I dunno about you, but I dont want half orcs running around with two bloody greataxes and 20 str.

An over ride wouldn't affect the server though, we'd require a hak to make it work on the server. The DMs here don't like the idea of a hak though.

An override allows the use of dual whips, but by that method you'd end up making two-handed weapons all one-handed.
One option is to make a widget that temporarily changes the character's model to that of a large creature, then equips the items, then returns to the original appearance. The only issue with this is that it looks ridiculous for a second and if there's lag it may stick that way.

But, as i have said again and again:
SPEARS ARE NOT 2H WEPS IRL!!!!!!
I fully support.

Monkey Grip is so silly. I have little doubt that it's possible one way or another, but I have absolutely no desire to see it in game.

I'll point that yes, spears are two handed weapons, whereas shortspears, which are not implemented in NWN, are shorter versions of spears, which are one handed.

*points to the nearest kobold* Ahem.
I'm glad to hear that it is possible, if not likely. I can accept that it would cause imbalance and possible lag, and certainly don't want any haks on EfU. Perhaps something to consider if the to do list at the crossing of Gehenna and Elysium ever gets finished. (see HarryMcScarry for explanation)

I'm sure the prospect of two 100+ HP crits in a round from a dual scythe wielding maniac would be fun...until it happened to a PC.

In b4 the lock!
In all seriousness though, Just apply to play a large creature. They can use effectively the same thing as monkey grip.
