Greetings,

I am happy to inform you that the newly found stability of the Canal Ward has encouraged our svirfneblin trading partners to make port in Sanctuary.

Their ship, the Draghazar, will set forth and likely make port at the end of the month if the canal is passable. We do wish to have some amount of secrecy about this, as these traders do have enemies that no doubt have eyes and ears in Sanctuary.

Further, our steading will be known as Dunendar Hall. I am sure that Dunendar sounds quite grand, and may cause you to wonder at its meaning. I am of a mind to share it with you.

Dunendar means "Cave of the Deep" in your tongue. Wonderfully mundane, is it not?

Very well. I have a man hired to make a map of the Canal. We can put it to use and sweep through and clear the vermin that might try to stop our vessels. Even without it, I'll certainly help in clearing it.
