[to Breena, Drin, and Jaliah]

Good companion,

I must relay a story that involves someone you know well. Vincent Tenn recently attempted to stop due justice, granted by a warrior of Helm and myself, by violently assaulting the holy warrior with spells designed to kill. He was brought down, but in review of his book and his words I have found that there may be a chance at redeeming this man. I had to, quite literally, beat the Helmite off of him to keep Vincent from meeting the wicked "Giver". But I did so.

He has spoken the words and denounced his previous patron, and taken up life in the name of Lord Ilmater.

Vincent is in need of help and guidance. I have started the process, but he is confused and having trouble with faithfulness as a whole now that he has come to understand his previous problems. Speak with him, console him. With our help, and with his innate need to heal others, he may be converted into the favor of Lord Ilmater yet. Help him along the path so that he may indeed become a righteous man who sees the truth.

Yet he also has a dark and terrible past, one that I do not fully understand. If he should relapse, well, be wary.

Be well,

Painbearer of Lord Ilmater Protector of Lower

Painbearer Westmore,

It seems you and I have very different thoughts about this man Vincent. Very different.

There is evidence, not just rumor, pointing to his allegiance to his patron of Cyric. Having asked a few folks more about this god Cyric, it would seem that Vince is quite able to deceive those around him at will as his patron is a god of lies.

After the incident at the Red Skull fortress, and watching Cyric corrupt one of my kin, I will not allow this man Vincent, the freedoms others are granted.

I found his presence in the Illmateri reading room yesterday bothersome and asked him to leave.

The path to righteousness is a hard one and one that must be journeyed on alone, as a test of ones true resolve. I will not grant this thief and liar any absolution or listen to his pleas unless he has truly been wronged by the justice system.

I have no doubt that he likely earned, by way of vile actions, the retribution the Helmite sought.

If you believe that Vincent can be a 'turned' back to a path of light, that is your folly and for assaulting the Helmite I do seriously question your actions. In my experience, the darker side of life is far too tempting for those who've tasted it's black waters to ever want to leave.

Be well and may Arvoreen keep you safe along this very thin line that you walk.

Lucius,

I consider myself a friend of Vincent, and have counseled him about his faith almost as long as I have known him.

My gift from the Mother allowed me to see the darkness that encroached upon his soul. I have spoken plainly to him of this, and prayed both with and for him that he might be saved.

Last dark, he came to me with a story of how you had saved him from certain death. He is nearly a broken man, and experiencing a crisis of faith. I believe that he has turned away from this mysterious patron, and needs the guidance of one strong in faith, such as yourself.

I encouraged him to stay in contact with you, and thought that perhaps embracing Ilmater would help him to endure that which he has already suffered.

From my recent studies, Ilmater is a god of healing and suffering. Vincent has remarkable skill as a healer, and of late has endured much. The teachings of your god would seem able to take root if you would but nuture its growth.

I foresee him as a valuable member of the Sanctuary Shelter staff, if he survives this difficult time in his life.

Good health to you, Breena Watchever

Painbearer Westmore,

I know Vincent quite well, thus far he has shown kindness to me. I know of his background and past troubles; furthermore, I do sense evil within him, although not extreme as I have felt in others, but evil still. So far, I have attempted to help him right his wrongs but that does not mean that I have dropped my guard and allowed him to try and manipulate my actions or thoughts, nor have I invest fully my trust in him. If Vincent, as rumors tell, is a follower of Cyric, then please be wary when working with him.

Shieldarm Drin has also spoke of things about Vincent, so speak with him for further information. If you gather any further information about him, Westmore, please share it with me.
